Mustard Baked Chicken with Pasta

8 chicken pieces
4 tbsp butter, melted
4 tbsp mild mustard
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp paprika
3 tbsp poppoy seeds
14 ouncesfresh pasta
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper


Arrange the chicken, smooth side down, in an ovenproof dish.
Mix together the butter, mustard, lemon juice, sugar and paprika in a bowl and season to taste. Brush the mixture over the upper surfaces of the chicken pieces and bake in a preheated oven at 400 F for 15 minutes.
Remove the dish from the oven and carefully turn over the chicken pieces. Coat the upper surfaces of the chicken with the remaining mustard mixture, sprinkle with poppy seeds and return to the oven for 15 minutes longer.
Meanwhile, bring a large pan of lightly salted water to a boil, add the pasta and olive oil and cook until tender, but still firm to the bite. drain the pasta and arrange on a warmed serving dish.
Top with the chicken, pour over the sauce and serve immediately.
